Despite a hot third quarter from D’Angelo Russell and co., the Nets weren’t able to come back and secure the win against the Celtics. Here’s how the loss played out.
1st Quarter:

- Nets on a 7-0 run
- Russell gets the fortuitous bounce as he finishes with easy finger roll
- Backs it up with a rainbow jumper for two
- Sleek steal from D’Lo on Smart
- Lovely little feed from Napier to Allen for the dunk down low
- Boston on a 14-2 run to extend their lead to 12
- Napier nails the three
- Nets trail by 10 at the half
3rd Quarter:
- Russell hits a jumper from the charity stripe
- Good engagement from Rondae to follow up his own miss
- Hollis-Jefferson finishes the pick and roll play off the feed from D’Lo
- Nice energy from Kurucs on both sides of the floor
- Smooth touch from Russell on the stepback
- RHJ gets another basket thanks to his energy

- Rondae glides through the lane for the layup
- Good penetration from DeMarre as he feeds RHJ for the easy lay in
- Russell surprisingly, is still on the bench
- Deficit balloons to 15
- Boston close it out for a 112-104 win.
