Rafael Gonzalez is a contributing editor for NetsRepublic and a member of the Brooklyn Brigade and The BK Block. He’s a South Bronx native and an immigrant from the Dominican Republic. Rafael graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Lehman College and is currently pursuing his master’s in pure Mathematics at Lehman.
In addition to writing for NetsRepublic, Rafael is the Campuses Director for a STEM program at Lehman College, Bronx Community College and Hostos Community College and he teaches Mathematics at Lehman and Brooklyn College. If all of this was not enough to burn every hour of his day, Rafael is a Co-organizer for GDG Bronx, a community of technology enthusiasts, where he helps bring information about new technologies to members of the Bronx community.
