Jeremy Lin makes it his second game in a row versus a team he used to play for. After a failed second-half comeback Monday night in Houston, Jeremy Lin looks to help his team get a win since his injury at home against the Los Angeles Lakers. Lin was not active the last time these two teams met, which the Lakers won 125-118.
Jeremy Lin hardly looked like he missed a beat in his return to action Monday night. In 20 minutes Lin scored 10 points and seven assists. Even Coach Atkinson noticed a difference in the team’s play, most notably through the 68 points his team scored in the paint. And only the 20 three-point attempts.
Brooklyn only lost by four points to arguably the NBA’s hottest team in the Rockets. Brooklyn, also, without Lin, lost by only five on the road to the Lakers a few weeks ago. With Lin possibly getting more minutes and being at home against a team that is on a seven game losing streak and not winning streak.
The NBA’s largest surprise and Cinderella’s of November play, the Lakers, have really come back down to earth sitting at 10-17 on a seven game losing streak. Luke Walton also got thrown out of the last game against the Sacramento Kings for arguing with the referees. This is the second time in three games Brooklyn has gotten a head coach that is fired up.
Having Jeremy Lin back, being at home, and having a more back to reality Lakers team, Brooklyn should actually come away with a win in this one. This is one game I as a fan and a “expert” feel confident about. Does not mean Brooklyn cannot lose, I just do not think it will happen this time out.
