The Nets continued their winning form with a 109-100 win over the Grizzlies. Brooklyn had six players who scored 10 points or more including a second consecutive 20-10 performance from D’Angelo Russell.
Here’s how the game unfolded.
1st Quarter:
- Joe Harris kicks off scoring with the three
- Make that two threes
- Jared Jackson Jr. is making his presence felt on both sides of the floor
- Nets have been sloppy with the ball early
- Add Jackson to Allen’s list of victims
- Solid feed from Shabazz to Allen for the dunk
- Carroll’s three ball has been falling well of late
- Brooklyn’s second unit have helped trim the margin to 4
- Dinwiddie effectiveness from the perimeter has been a big key to his improvement
- D’Lo gets in on the perimeter party
- Nets end the quarter on a 13-4 run to tie the game up at 26
2nd Quarter:
- Early 5-0 run for the Grizzlies
- Carroll gets the Nets a much needed three
- Davis and one plays provide the team os much spark
- Graham’s first basket was a nifty floater
- The offense really isn’t clicking this quarter
- Somehow Gasol doesn’t get called for the flagrant one
- Thank the lord for that Russell three
- Wonderful drive to the rim by Russell
- Brooklyn ends the quarter with a nice run to end the quarter with a 1 point lead
3rd Quarter:
- Nice attack from Harris to open the scoring in the third
- Allen with the extended jam!
- Make that twice!
- Kurucs drives to the rim this time
- LOVE THE AGGRESSION FROM RODI
- Sheesh, this is forceful to say the least
- Lovely dime to Harris from Russell
- Allen with the monstrous block
- DeMarre with the ambitious finish through contact
- Nets on a 10-2 run
- Little bit of confrontation between Carroll and Green
- Russell’s three gives the Nets a 4 point lead to end the quarter
4th Quarter:
- Russell’s driving and drawing contact has been noticeably better tonight
- That three from DeMarre was special
- Also gives Nets their biggest lead of the night (8)
- Awesome timing on the put back from Allen
- Carroll has been on fire this quarter
- Harris finishes through contact on a hard foul from Jackson Jr.
- Again a Nets player doesn’t get the call for the flagrant foul
- Allen’s dunk gives the Nets their first double digit lead of the night
- Great out of timeout play to seal the win
- Nets win it 109-100
