The Brooklyn Nets return to action on their west coast swing with the Sacramento Kings. Brooklyn is still on their miserable losing streak and still sit at nine wins on the season. Even worse, the Nets have one win in the 2017 calendar year.

Things are looking positive in this game, though as the Kings are now without their superstar center in DeMarcus Cousins. This makes life significantly easier for Brook Lopez and whomever plays the four, whether it be Rondae Hollis-Jefferson or Trevor Booker.

While the Kings do not have Cousins, they have Buddy Hield. While Hield has not done too much statistics wise this season, he is a young talent with a boatload of potential. There is always a chance he can break out in any game. What better game to break out in than against the league-worst Nets? Hopefully he stays in check with the rest of the Kings squad, but you really do never know.

Brooklyn has lost two games since the return of Jeremy Lin, but, with an additional couple of days off, maybe the entire team get back in the swing and Lin can lead the Nets past the Cousin-less Kings. The last matchup between these two teams did not go well for Brooklyn at all as they lost 122-105 in Brooklyn. Again, this Kings team is significantly different without Cousins down in the paint doing monstrous things.

Brooklyn can very easily win this game, and, man, do they need to win this one. West coast swings have never been friendly to the Nets franchise and fans should not expect it to get any better anytime soon. As for this game in Sactown, this is one of those west coast games they can steal.

Brooklyn needs to play smart basketball and take smart shots in order to win. Will they win, no one knows. All fans though are hoping for a win as this season has been long, painful, and sometimes gruesome.
