The Brooklyn Nets take on the Toronto Raptors for the second time in three games Tuesday night in Brooklyn. The Raptors were responsible for handing Brooklyn their ninth straight loss before Brooklyn went ahead and lost to Houston Sunday evening to make it ten in a row.

This time around, Brooklyn will have a rested Brook Lopez in action. Lopez sat out Sunday against the Rockets for rest purposes. Also, Isaiah Whitehead only played in 15 minutes in Sunday’s loss as he is recovering from an injury. If Whitehead can be a full-go starter Tuesday, things will be a little brighter for the Nets.

What Brooklyn did not do the last time these teams faced off was contain DeMar DeRozan. DeRozan dropped 28 points on Brooklyn Friday night. Another thing Brooklyn did not do Friday was play a full 48 minutes of basketball. The Nets allowed Toronto to score a whopping 42 points in the fourth quarter. This came after Brooklyn got the game to within a point heading into the final quarter of play. The Nets have been brutal at closing out games all season, but hopefully they have learned their lesson against this Raptors team.

Brooklyn will need to play tough all night long against the division leading Raptors to snap this terrible losing streak. Hopefully with two key players in Lopez and Whitehead being rested and (hopefully) healthy, Brooklyn can build on the first three quarters in Toronto on Friday and close this game out with a win.
